Litter Box Inside Tote

I thought about many different ways to decorate the cat litter box including spray paint or modge podge.

Litter box inside tote.

1 this is a cat litter box. With odor control insulated inside and a top entry slot to prevent litter tracking this rubbermaid bin turned litter box is an inexpensive and durable solution for cat mommies on a budget. This box is nice compact size and the high sides kept litter from being slung out. In addition to keeping pee in the box the big high sided storage totes also keep litter in the box for the cats who like to dig and dig and dig and dig and scatter litter everywhere.

But i remembered two things. Inside i put a high side flat bottom kitty litter box. Handmade cheapest litter box. Now when my big boy goes into the smaller box and pees towards the door it all goes on the towel which i change easily.

Feb 22 2016 i improved on the 30 gallon tote kitty litter box. The cat expert people say the idea is one box per cat plus one extra in which case i should have 4 of these storage tote litter boxes which would not be hard to do m currently short on two totes otherwise i might rubbermaid roughneck tote 15 9 rubbermaid roughneck tote 12 2 rubbermaid brute tote with lid 20 gallon gray. So i decided to use decal stickers and the possibilities for decoration and personalization are nearly endless. The high wall with a curve at the top does keep the urine from spraying out but as it runs down the sides it then goes outside the box and onto the floor.

And 2 i wanted to keep this a simple and cheap diy project. If you try this please let me know what you think of it and send photos. Readers any diy solutions you d like to share.
